If you want more Google reviews, you need a quick way to get customers to your review page. The two most popular options are QR code stands and NFC cards. Both work, but they work differently.
QR codes
How it works: the customer opens their camera, points it at the code, waits for it to focus, and taps the link.
- Pros: works on almost every smartphone, very cheap to print, easy to put on bills and posters.
- Cons: more steps, needs good light, and some customers aren't sure how to scan.
NFC cards
How it works: the customer taps their phone on the card and the review page opens.
- Pros: one tap, feels modern and premium, works in low light, and the link can be changed later.
- Cons: needs an NFC-capable phone with NFC switched on; costs more than a printed QR.
Which gets more reviews?
The method matters less than whether your team actually asks. A card or stand sitting unused at the counter gets very few reviews. A receptionist who hands it over with one friendly sentence gets many more. That said, fewer steps usually means fewer people giving up halfway, which is where NFC helps.
The best setup: both
Our NFC review cards have the NFC chip inside and a printed QR code on the card. Customers with newer phones tap; everyone else scans. You get the speed of NFC without leaving anyone out.
Where each works best
- QR on bills and posters: for customers who leave quickly.
- NFC card at the counter: for customers you speak to face to face.
- NFC table stands: for restaurants and cafés, where people sit and wait.
